Þórsmörk Valley

Þórsmörk is one of the most beautiful places in Iceland, the valley is surrounded by beautiful mountains, glaciers and volcanoes with glacier rivers flowing through and some beautiful ravine formed by glaciers and rivers for the past thousands of years. 

The valley is only accessible by big jeeps because the glacier rivers flowing through. It is possible to book a tour with a local company and spend a day in the valley doing short hiking and nature exploring. 

Þórsmörk means the valley of Thor and in the hearts of many Icelandic people, Þórsmörk is a paradise and a place with endless possibilities for enjoying the outdoors with friends or family. 

One of the most popular places in the valley is Stakkholtsgjá ravine a long and narrow ravine with nice rock formation and a smaller river flowing through at the end of the ravine.
